As part of ongoing efforts to raise awareness of careers within the maritime workforce, the Collegiate Consortium for Workforce and Economic Development (CCWED) was proudly featured at Dover Speedway on Sunday, May 17, 2026, through the Maritime Industrial Base (MIB) Program. CCWED’s logo appeared on the tail of NASCAR’s #17 BuildSubmarines.com race car driven by Chris Buescher.
Representing the Consortium at the event were Dr. Marta Yera Cronin, President of Delaware County Community College and Chair of the Consortium’s Board of Directors and Dr. Karen Kozachyn, Vice President For Workforce & Economic Development for Delaware County Community College and member of the Consortium’s Business Development Team. The partnership and sponsorships highlights the Consortium’s commitment to strengthening workforce pathways and expanding awareness of career opportunities supporting the nation’s maritime industrial base.
